How many guests can Freight Bar accommodate?
Our function spaces can host everything from small gatherings of 300 guests to large celebrations of up to 300 guests in the Brewhouse Room.
Do you offer food packages or platters?
Yes! We offer both function packages and a platter menu. Whether you’re planning casual grazing, sit-down dining, or cocktail-style service, we’ll tailor the menu to suit your event.
What are the drinks options?
You can choose from drinks packages, set up a bar tab, or let guests pay as they go — whatever works best for your event and budget.
Can we decorate the space?
Absolutely. You’re welcome to bring your own decorations or work with our team to style the space. We just ask that you check with us first regarding hanging items or confetti.
Is there parking available?
Yes, there’s plenty of parking nearby, and we’re also centrally located in Ballarat for easy access by taxi or rideshare.
Can you host 18th birthdays?
Yes! We host 18th birthdays at Freight, but a licensed security guard is required for the duration of the event to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable night.
Can I bring my own entertainment?
We provide a speaker for every event to make your entertainment setup simple.
If you’re bringing your own DJ, band, or performer, please discuss it with our team first. Since our two function rooms are located next to each other, we coordinate all entertainment to ensure sound levels and timing work smoothly.
We can also help arrange DJs or live performers through our regular entertainment partners.
